My Achievements in This Project:

• Led the architecture of Elo.am — a free rental platform for daily and long-term leases across Armenia.

• Built a rental-only classifieds platform for owners, agencies, and tenants across Armenia.

• Designed advanced search, map clustering, booking calendar, and a 3-step listing wizard with media and availability.

• Delivered a multilingual (AM / EN / RU) SEO-ready catalog with region pages, Schema.org markup, and WebP media.

My Role in This Project:

• Project lead, senior backend engineer and architect — responsible for domain model, platform architecture, and end-to-end delivery.

Problems I Solved:

• Modeled complex rental listing data — property types, owner vs agency, daily vs monthly deals, nested regions/districts, rooms, floors, renovation, and amenities.

• Built a booking calendar with booked/available days, per-day pricing, check-in/out, and reservation requests to the owner.

• Implemented nationwide map search with Leaflet, marker clustering, and Street View on listing pages.

• Designed listing lifecycle: 3-step create/edit wizard, photo + YouTube media, activate/deactivate without deleting ads.

• Optimized search/filter queries, image delivery (WebP + thumbs), and SEO (canonical URLs, JSON-LD, region landing pages).

Technologies Used: PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, MySQL, Leaflet / OpenStreetMap, Bootstrap, WebP.

Methodology: Agile methodology with daily Scrum meetings and 2-week sprints.

About Project

Elo.am (“Easy Lease Online”) is a free classifieds platform for renting real estate in Armenia — apartments, houses, offices, commercial spaces, land, and more. It connects property owners, agencies, and tenants for both daily rent and long-term lease, with the goal of making the process faster, more transparent, and more trustworthy. The platform includes map search, booking calendars, and a nationwide catalog.

My Role & Contributions

As project lead and architect, I defined the rental domain model, backend services, and public catalog architecture. I led implementation of search and filtering, listing CRUD and moderation flows, owner/agency profiles, multilingual routing, and SEO. I also designed the booking calendar and reservation request flow, map-based discovery, email verification, and supporting product surfaces such as FAQ, user guides, blog, and the professional photography service.

Key Features and Problem-Solving

01. Complex Rental Listing System: Built a multi-step announcement wizard covering required listing data, photo galleries (WebP + thumbnails), up to 2 YouTube videos, and optional property details (building type, elevator, renovation, rooms, floors, ceiling height). Owners can edit ads and activate/deactivate them without recreating the listing.

02. Advanced Search & Filters: Implemented global search with owner type (owner / agency), daily vs monthly deal type, date range, property category, nested region/district selection, rooms, building type, renovation, land type, and price range — with dedicated SEO pages per region and deal type.

03. Map Search & Street View: Built a custom map-search experience on Leaflet / OpenStreetMap with marker clustering for nationwide inventory, plus listing-page maps with coordinates and Street View.

04. Booking Calendar & Reservations: Designed a per-listing calendar for daily rentals: available vs booked days, custom prices per date, check-in/out times, and a reservation request form (validated phone, optional email) that notifies the owner.

05. Owner & Agency Communication: Listing pages expose owner vs agency cards with phone, Viber, and WhatsApp, plus “see all posts of this user”, Facebook share, and guest favorites. Registration uses email confirmation, password reset, and profile settings.

06. Multi-currency & Localization: Prices display in AMD with live conversion tooltips. The catalog is fully localized in Armenian, English, and Russian, including listing URLs, filters, calendar, and reservation forms.

07. SEO, Schema & Content: SEO-friendly listing slugs, canonical URLs, Open Graph, JSON-LD (Organization, WebSite, RealEstateListing, BreadcrumbList), region landing pages, blog, FAQ, and video user guides.

08. Photography Service Module: Built a productized photography offer on the platform: professional photos, 360° virtual tours with interactive floor plans, and drone videography — with packaged pricing and consultation requests.
